Edwin Bautista
Edwin Bautista is a native Texan who was born in Wichita Falls and whose formative years were shaped by the resilient spirit of his family and the transformative power of public education. Mr.Bautista is running to represent District 7 on the Austin City Council because he cares deeply about his community and strongly believes in the importance of public service. He is running to represent the hardworking people who deserve a fair shot and the opportunity to prosper. Mr.Bautista hopes voters will see his consistency in policy positions that align with past actions as well as campaign promises, and emphasize his desire to foster active participation in the democratic process. He believes this action reflects his dedication to democracy, community involvement, and responsible local governance. Sheena King
Sheena King is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a fourth generation Texan, community activist, business leader, organizational change coach and most importantly Mom to three amazing humans.
Sheena believes in life long learning and has her Bachelor’s degree from UNT, 26 years of leadership in a fortune 50 company and over ten insurance & financial services designations and degrees. She is actively serves with several nonprofit and social action organizations including the Mom’s Demand Action, League of Women’s Voters and NAACP. She loves giving back and is always volunteering in her community. Sheena was the 2022 Democratic Nominee for Texas House District 61 and she is the current County Chair for the Collin County Democratic Party and the first African American elected to this position. Tammy Meinershagen
Named the "Spirit of Frisco" by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and one of CEO MOM Magazine's Power 15, Tammy is a dynamic leader and recognized change maker. With a proven track record for identifying gaps and building lasting solutions, her groundbreaking work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, D CEO Magazine, Dallas Morning News, WFAA, and numerous other media outlets. Tammy made history as the first Asian-American to serve on the Frisco City Council and the first Korean-American female to serve on any City Council in the State of Texas. Tammy's leadership has transformed the City of Frisco's arts, cultural, and innovation landscape. Over the past decade in various community roles, she has consistently fostered strong collaborations with corporate, civic, non-profit, regional, and national partners, resulting in exceptional outcomes and new programs, ushering in the Frisco Renaissance in Sports City USA.Tammy's professional journey spans across diverse sectors, including education, nonprofit management, and business consultancy. Additionally, Tammy contributes to philanthropic endeavors as a member of the Orchid Giving Circle under the Texas Women’s Foundation, supporting Asian-American causes in North Texas with grants exceeding $1.4 million.
